Baby Boys Nursery Board and Batten Look

If you follow along on Instagrm @themagnoliamom you have seen bits and pieces of our dyi board and batten look going up as we get the nursery ready for our new baby boy!

The first step was of course choosing a color theme, after much discussion we chose navy, white and grey. The Navy is (Royal Navy) Valspar 

The first part of the project was to paint the top half of the walls : 

Next cut and nail molding at desired height: 

We used a 2x2 wood piece for the vertical slats we measured all pieces to 36in and nailed them in:

The next step is calking all seams nd sanding them flat. For the bottom we used high high white and wow the final outcome is just amazing !! 

That's a wrap for this room at least, our sons room is next and I am so undecided on the type of look I'd like too do for him, I am thinking something similar Mabey a different type of molding on the bottom?
